Year 3 BMHW Gyn Gyn at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, 7945 Wolf River Boulevard and the MedPlex 2010-2011
Day 1 may be a Monday or Tuesday. This is on the master schedule. 6:15 AM All students go to orientation in the 3rd floor conference room (next to Nurses’ station) of Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women (BMHW), 6225 Humphreys Blvd. The "Student’s Guide to the Gynecology Service" will be reviewed. Note that the office building at 6215 Humphreys Blvd and the hospital at 6225 Humphreys Blvd are connected and look like one building. If you go to the 3rd floor of the office building, you will need to go back to the 1st floor to get into the hospital unless you have a security code. 6:45 AM All students will be escorted to the 2nd floor OR suite where the resident will orient you to surgery. 7:00 AM After orientation, the OR students will stay with the Resident(s) at BMHW, the students at 7945 Wolf River Boulevard, UT Medical Group, Inc (UTMG) will go to 7:00 AM didactics or to clinic and the students with Dr. Shephard will go the 3rd floor of the MedPlex. The 7:00 AM didactics session will be clarified that morning. Note that Dr. Shephard is at the MedPlex on Tuesday and at 7945 Wolf River on Wednesday. Day 2 is on the master schedule.
