About Dr. Martin

Dr. Dan Martin is the Scientific and Medical Director of the Endometriosis Foundation of America, New York; an otherwise non-affiliated community member of the Virginia Commonwealth University Institutional Review Board, Richmond; Professor Emeritus, School of Medicine, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis; and on the editorial board of five medical journals. Dr. Martin has studied endometriosis since 1970. He retired from clinical practice in 2016.

Dr. Martin was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, 1972-1977, in private practive in Memphis 1979-2016, and with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, 1977-2016, in gynecology (Ob Gyn), reproductive surgery, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) with an emphasis on endometriosis and infertility surgery. He moved to Richmond to be with children and grandchildren.
